McKenzie's birthday party was postponed twice, so when we finally had her party on Tuesday, she didn't believe it for a while. She was pretty grumpy and didn't snap out of it until I showed her her birthday cake. She said, "You mean I really am having a birthday party?!" She picked this cake out of a recent Parenting magazine issue. I was pretty proud of myself once I had it finished -- at 12:30am.Our friends let us borrow their waterslide, which saved the day as far as party entertainment. The kids had a blast on it. They also enjoyed filling our kiddie pool with water from the pool part of the slide using buckets and bins. Thomas stood by the water spigot most of the time turning the water on and off. I should have included a picture of him. But I thought the one with him throwing a water balloon was funnier.
