Mason's 4th Birthday

Mason had a dinosaur party for his fourth birthday. He invited his friends from preschool, and his best buddy, Anna. We played lots of games, including Hot Lava, Paleontologist Dig, Bone Drop, and pin the horn on the Triceratops. We repeated some of the games for Mason's family party after dinner.

This is the most emotion I got out of him in any of his birthday pictures:

He was so pumped that it was finally his birthday that he ran around the house before the party exclaiming, “I’m so excited! I’m so excited! I’m so excited!” I don’t know if he built it up too high, or if it was just serious business to him, but I couldn’t get much of a smile on camera all day. He was all about tearing off the wrapping paper and moving on to the next gift. After all the gifts were unwrapped, the next task was to see how each toy worked. He had no time to pose for pictures. Here he is checking out his new toy with Thomas.
